Dupatta, Skirt combination

When I was younger, during dinner preparations, mum would always say that colourful is tastier and beautiful. Be it on food, dressing or whatever you like. I never thought much about it back then but on thinking about it nowadays it all adds up.

I didn't like vegetables especially courgette and always thought 'whomever introduced courgette farming had done us enough harm. I used to wonder what beauty mum kept talking about every now and then in these veggies. Poor me, I always ate without questioning.

Well, that was then and thanks mama for insisting. I do see the beauty you always talked about.

Away from food, lets get into dressing. Lets talk about my dress (today's dressing). I am wearing a skirt and a dupatta (yes a dupatta), I have had it for some time but I never got creative enough on how I would wear it. So, every time I would look at it, I always thought 'next Saturday would do' but never tried it.

Let me define dupatta- like google has- It is a long, multi-purpose scarf that is essential to many South Asian women's suits and matches the woman's garments.

Having several stored in my wardrobe, I thought I will try and tie them in different styles just to see if I come up with something convenient enough to match my skirt.

YES! I did it see some of the photos attached:

Let me know what you think.

Healthier, Stronger Hair Tips

I love my hair and keeping it perfect is always my joy. For a couple of years that I have been growing my hair, there are some things that I have learnt about maintaining a healthy stronger hair that I would like to share with you.

1. Eat good food- By good food I mean, have a balanced diet.Proteins in your diet is very important when it comes to hair growth but don't forget the veggies and fruits. A regular supply of minerals and vitamins is a key to stronger, healthier hair.

2. Brush your hair- Once to two times a day helps in stimulating circulation in your scalp, always us a wider tooth comb- it is always more gentle on your scalp and hair

3. Massage your hair- It is very important to massage your hair after shampooing. Gently massage with your fingers for a minute or two as it helps stimulate the blood flow on your scalp hence hair growth.

4. Exercise- It is very important if you want to maintain a healthy hair. Exercising makes you sweat hence unclogging the hair follicles (usually gets clogged by dead skin & grease) this gives space for your hair to grow.

5. Warm oil massage- Olive and coconut are always my choice. Slightly warm the oil and gently massage it with this treatment. You will be surprised on the wonders it will do on your hair.
